MISSION STATEMENT
The Cape May County Special Services School District is committed to providing effective educational programs that meet the unique social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and career needs of students with special needs. By providing specialized academic instruction in the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards, vocational and career development, functional life skills and individualized therapeutic intervention, the district will enable each learner to realize his or her highest potential as a contributing member of society.

About These Pictures
These pictures are from the district’s tile mural installed in 1992 located in the George E. Bailey Memorial Wing.
The theme of the mural is Cape May County.
Art teachers, Liz Massey and Deborah Magee, worked with our students to draw points of interest from around the Cape May County.
Students also drew pictures of themselves to be placed on the mural.
Ms. Massey and Ms. Magee put all drawings on grid paper and then went to Olean Tile in New York City to consult on the placement of tiles.
We are very proud of our mural, its representation of our county, and of our teachers and students who worked diligently to provide our district with this beautiful piece of art. |
