Auto Mechancis provides students with the basics of auto maintenance and repair, with an emphasis on safety, appropriate job skills and
self reliance.

Students have hands-on, practical experiences in:
Appropriate use of hand and power tools
Small Engines Repair
Lawn Mower Repair
Marine-Inboard and Outboard Motors Repair.
Auto Cooling Systems
Auto Fuel Systems
Auto Electrical Systems
Auto Ignition Systems
Auto Exhaust Systems
Students will also learn to trouble shoot component failures in any one of the above systems.

Skill development includes rebuilding, replacing and/or
installing parts to restore a vehicle's operation to its manufacturer’s specifications.
In this process, students are taught to use parts manuals, operator manuals, wiring diagrams and other printed material commonly used by car service technicians.

The Auto Shop is open for service to any staff member who's car might need anything from an oil change to car tuning.
