Supermarket Careers is designed to develop awareness, practical skills and real-time experiences in a supermarket and/or convenience store environment.

Students are prepared to enter the work force by participating in a production hands-on experience that simulates a "small store" setting designed to foster appropriate social/work behaviors and attitudes to promote successful employment.

Students engage in a daily tasks that maintain the operation of the CMC HIgh School's own "Courgar Corner " convenience store and delicatessen.
Daily tasks include:
Review of all safety procedures
Review personal hygiene procedures
Food preparation
Serving over the counter customers
Review of appropriate customer relations
Stocking shelves
Inventory management
Custodial services
Cashiering
Bagging
Taking delicatessen orders via phone

The Supermarket Careers program also operates a bagel cart delivery service for the District staff.
